  • Chess Club
    When: Wednesday, October 25, 2017 - 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
    Where: Children's Room (2nd Floor Main Library)

    This library's new chess club is for ages 9-18 and all experience levels. An experienced chess player will be present to teach: Novices who want to learn how to play how to play and players with experience who want to improve. Space limited. Please call youth services to register.
  • Pre-School Rhyme Time
    When: Thursday, October 26, 2017 - 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room*** (Split Room)

    Features stories, songs, fingerplays, creative movement and simple crafts ages 3 to 5, Children must be accompanied by an adult. Family and siblings are welcome. Library story time are fun way to help your child develop skills they will need to be ready to read. Explore the early literacy skills of singing, playing, reading, talking and writing in each storytime. Childcare groups, pelase call in advance.
  • Baby Bouce
    When: Thursday, October 26, 2017 - 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room*** (Split Room)

    This program is designed to introduce infants (ages 0-24 months) to the world of sounds and stories. Stories, rhymes and movements help build pre-reading skills for our littlest library lovers. An informal playgroup immediately follows this story time. Best suited for infants to age 2 with caregiver.
  • Comic Drawing
    When: Thursday, October 26, 2017 - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
    Where: Children's Room (2nd Floor Main Library)

    Marvel & DC illustrator Joe Del Beato will lead drawing instruction for children and teens ages 7-17. Learn how to draw your favorite characters. In September, Beato will lead a free workshops focusing on hispanic characters in comics, cartoon and graphic nicels. All materials supplied. No experience necessary.
  • Halloween Craft
    When: Friday, October 27, 2017 - 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
