  • Video Game Design Mini-Camp
    When: Friday, July 25, 2014 - 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room

    Join the game designers from GameDevHouse for a three-day series of workshops on designing and creating your own video games. All you need to bring is a bag lunch. Registration is required and space is very limited – call or e-mail to reserve your spot.
  • Dorm Room Cooking
    When: Friday, July 25, 2014 - 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room

    Most college dorm rooms don’t allow you to have any cooking appliances other than a microwave and electric kettle. How are you supposed to feed yourself? No worries – we’ll teach you recipes and techniques for preparing your own food with minimal equipment. Not just for the college-bound – great for any teen!
  • Teen Book Club
    When: Saturday, July 26, 2014 - 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
    Where: Teen Zone (2nd Floor - Main Library)

    Our book club is awesome because we give you a FREE copy of the book to keep. Forever! Grab your copy at the Youth Services desk and join us for snacks, drinks, and discussion at our monthly meeting, even if you didn’t have time to finish the book.
  • Teen Advisory Group Volunteering Meetings
    When: Saturday, July 26, 2014 - 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
    Where: Teen Zone (2nd Floor - Main Library)

    Make your voice heard! Plan teen events, tell the library what materials we should buy, and build up some volunteer hours, all while eating free pizza! Meetings are required for all teen volunteers.
  • Video & Green Screen Techniques (with Dan Skeldon)

    We have a shiny new digital video camera and a green screen kit – learn how to use them to make your own movies with special effects. Dan Skeldon, Chief Meteorologist for NBC News 40, will be here to talk about how he works with a green screen at his job.
