Upcoming library events at Atlantic City Free Public Library
  • Comic Drawing
    When: Thursday, October 30, 2014 - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room

    Marvel/DC comic illustrator Joe Del Beato will lead drawing instruction for children and teens ages 7 to 17. Learn how tot draw your favorite characters. All materials supplied. No experience necessary.
  • Free Practice SAT
    When: Saturday, November 01, 2014 - 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room*** (Split Room)

    Registration is REQUIRED for this SAT Practice Test, administered by Kaplan. Scores will be sent via e-mail. Please see a youth services staff member if you need help creating an e-mail address. Study materials are available from the library both in person and online. Please e-mail mengland@acfpl.org or call 609-345-2269 ext. 3050 to sign up. This is the full four-hour SAT practice test. There is no fee to participate.
  • Teen Advisory Group Meeting
    When: Saturday, November 01, 2014 - 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
    Where: Teen Zone (2nd Floor - Main Library)

    TAG is our teen volunteering group, where teens ages 13-18 can help plan teen events, tell the library what materials to buy, and get volunteer hours for decorating the library, helping with kids events, and more. Free pizza is included with every meeting! Guests are invited during the month of November.
  • Make it! To Go: Fall Leaves (all month)
    When: Sunday, November 02, 2014 - All Day
    Where: Teen Zone (2nd Floor - Main Library)

    Take home a kit to make beautiful paper fall leaves. Ages 10-18. Pick up your kit in the teen area of youth services. Available while supplies last.
  • Teen Gaming Club
    When: Saturday, November 15, 2014 - 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room*** (Split Room)

    Celebrate International Game @ Your Library Day! Play video and tabletop games, analyze how they work, and make your own! Every meeting of the gaming club will include a Game of the Month, lessons about game design, and free play time.
