The Atlantic City Free Public Library’s weekly ‘Fun Day Sunday’ programs in May and June will include crafts in honor of Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. The weekly programs, which are free, begin at 2 p.m. Nobody will be admitted once the program has started. Space is limited, so please arrive early. The City of Atlantic City and Atlantic City Free Public Library held a Cinco de Mayo celebration Friday, May 4, in Police and Firemen’s Memorial Plaza, located between City Hall and the Main Library. The celebration included festive music by Ricky y Sus Mariachis and a dance performance by Organizacion Carnaval Putleco (Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township high school students.) Milton F. Ramirez served as the Master of Ceremonies.

The Gale Virtual Reference Library provides access to eBooks covering thousands of topics, including: biography, business, education, environment, history, religion and science. These eBooks are a great place to start your research, since they offer well-researched and detailed information.
The Atlantic City Free Public Library now offers MP3 CD audiobooks. There are approximately 115 titles — featuring non-fiction, fiction and language learning tool CDs — in the collection. What makes an MP3 CD different than a regular CD? A regular audio CD holds roughly 80 minutes of content, while an MP3 CD can hold much more — even an entire audiobook! That added capacity prevents listeners from being forced to change CDs while enjoying their audiobook.
