Founded in July 2007, the Dance Team has performed extensively, including at the Asian Cultural Festival in September 2007, VIP Reception at the Chinese New Year Spectacular in Philadelphia in January 2008, Second annual Women Cultivating Women Awards Ceremony in March 2008 and the Evening of Art event at University of Delaware in March 2008. 1 to 4 p.m. - Hands-on activities: The library will also offer a variety of activities. Attendees can try Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting and brush painting. All supplies will be provided. 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. - Chinese Medicine Lecture with Dr. Jingduan Yang: Dr. Yang's topic is "Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine." Dr. Yang will introduce the basic principals of traditional Chinese medicine and how people can apply it to their daily lives. Dr. Yang is a board certified psychiatrist and an international expert on classic forms of Chinese Medicine. He incorporates acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbal medicine with modern medicine in the care of patients with a variety of emotional and physical illnesses. Dr Yang is founder and medical director of Tao Institute of Mind & Body Medicine, and he practices at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
