Download music, movies and more with hoopla

With a valid library card, members can stream and download eBooks, audiobooks, music, movies, television shows and comics in 70 different languages.

“Even while our physical locations are closed, we’re committed to providing resources and programs to meet the educational, recreational and informational needs of the Atlantic City community,” Library Director Robert Rynkiewicz said. “hoopla is a great addition to the digital and online resources we already offer.”

Library members can check out as many as eight items per month and stream titles instantly through their desktop browser or hoopla’s mobile app. Through the mobile app, titles can be downloaded to a device for offline playback later, where Wi-Fi may be unavailable. Titles are automatically returned and removed from the borrower’s device at the end of the lending period.

In an effort to provide access to additional content to library users during the pandemic, hoopla has created a Bonus Borrows Collection of more than 1,500 top titles. Through May 31, patrons will be debited zero borrows when they check out any of those titles. Bonus Borrows do not use any of the eight monthly borrows each library member is permitted.
