Library closed indefinitely due to Coronavirus

The Atlantic City Free Public Library is closed indefinitely due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The reopening date will be based on new information or direction from the government.

“We regret that we have to close because we realize how much our community depends on us for computer access, job assistance, information, resources and more,” Library Director Robert Rynkiewicz said. “However, it’s vital that we do our part to limit the spread of the Coronavirus and protect the health of our public and staff.”

Effective June 15, the Main Library drop box will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those who have library materials due back are asked to place them in the drop box. Overdue fines have not accrued since the library was required to close. All overdue fines will be waived, regardless of when the materials were due.

While the physical locations are closed, library members will have access to many online resources via the library's website. Do you have an expired Atlantic City Library card. Click here to fill out a temporary library card renewal form.

“Our library members will be able to download ebooks and audiobooks, receive live homework help from an online tutor, learn a language and utilize many of our premium eResources through our website,” Rynkiewicz said.

While the library is closed, please visit our website or follow the library on social media for updates.
