  • Make appointment for assistance with tax return

    taxesVolunteers from the Tax Aide Program of AARP will be at the Atlantic City Free Public Library to assist the community with their tax returns by appointment only. You must call 1-800-617-1519 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment. AARP will be in the Main Library’s second-floor meeting room on Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Feb. 10-April 13.
  • Need help with your reading or writing skills?

    Literacy VolunteersThe Atlantic City Free Public Library and Literacy Volunteers Association Cape-Atlantic are offering a basic adult literacy class for individuals who need help with their reading and writing skills. The class is for adults on a fifth grade reading level or lower. Click here to read more.
  • Walk-in Job Skills Lab held on Wednesdays

    job skillsThe Atlantic City Free Public Library offers a free Walk-in Job Skills Labs to library members who need help with job-related tasks. We’ll provide refresher tips for your job search. The lab is held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesdays. Click here to read more.


  • Richmond Branch Library has new hours

    richmond branchThe Richmond Branch Library, located at 4115 Ventnor Ave., has new hours. The library will remain open Tuesday through Saturday, but it will close for one hour on those days. The new hours are 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Board of Trustees

The Atlantic City Free Public Library is an independent municipal library funded and operated by the City of Atlantic City and administered by a Board of Trustees. The members of the Board of Trustees are appointed for five-year terms, and are responsible for overseeing the effective operation of the Library. The Board of Trustees works with the Library staff to provide a broad range of educational, informational and recreational programs and services for the Atlantic City community.
