    Dr. KingThe Atlantic City Free Public Library will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with its Fourth annual MLK Read-in on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. at the Main Library.     Charging StationThe Atlantic City Free Public Library now offers a charging station after being selected as a contract award winner for funding under LibraryLinkNJ’s “Powering Up: Library Charging Stations Incubator Project.” Those who visit the Main Library will be able to charge their smartphones, laptops and tablets for free in a Kwikboost Charging Station, which features eight secure, ADA-compliant lockers equipped with 16 connectors and fast-charging technology.     Live Homework HelpStudents who need assistance with homework can receive free, on-demand tutoring help thanks to an online service provided by the Atlantic City Free Public Library. The library offers Live Homework Help™, an online tutoring service powered by Tutor.com™. Students can connect to expert tutors in math, science, social studies and English via the Internet. Live Homework Help is for students in grades K-12 and those taking introductory level college courses. Click here to read more.

Free tickets available for Library Day at the Aquarium

aquarium logoThe Atlantic City Free Public Library is holding Library Day at the Atlantic City Aquarium on Saturday, May 10. This special event will include ocean-themed crafts, air tattoos, storytelling diving and animal shows.
Those interested in attending can pick up two free admission tickets at the Main Library Youth Services Department. Library cardholders also have the option of picking up their two tickets at the Richmond Branch Library. Free tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those who don’t receive free tickets but wish to participate can pay for admission at the aquarium. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for children ages 4-12. Children under three are free. Children 12 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

ATLANTIC CITY LIBRARY DAY SCHEDULE

11 a.m. - Live diver feeding show
12 p.m. - *Storyteller with balloon animals
12 to 3 p.m. - *Air tattoos, and arts and crafts with an aquatic theme
1 p.m. - *Storyteller with balloon animals
2 p.m. - Exotic animal show

*These programs will take place in the aquarium’s second-floor conference room

CHILDREN 12 YEARS OF AGE AND YOUNGER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT!

Also, The library will also have a coloring table and information about services and upcoming programs.
