    new 48 blocks logoOn June 24, as part of 48 Blocks, Stockton University’s South Jersey Culture & History Center is inviting the community to bring historic photographs, postcards, and documents to 1-of-6 locations throughout Atlantic City - including both Atlantic City Free Public Library locations - to be scanned and photographed and immediately returned to the owner, along with a digital copy on a USB flash drive.  The digitized items will become part of the city’s historic archive and will be featured in exhibits and activities for future cultural events in Atlantic City.   • Summer Reading Program begins June 29

    Steel PierThe Atlantic City Public Library will throw a party on Thursday, June 29, at 2 p.m. to kick off its Summer Reading Program for children and teenagers. This year’s theme is “Build a Better World.” (Download this year's Summer Reading Program brochure).     job corpsThe Atlantic City Free Public Library will host Job Corps orientations on June 21, July 19 and Aug. 16, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.  Job Corps is the largest vocational trade school in the country that provides hands-on training in high-demand industries, such as manufacturing, construction, health care, hospitality, information technology and more. Free tickets available for Library Day at the Aquarium

aquarium logoThe Atlantic City Free Public Library is holding Library Day at the Atlantic City Aquarium on Saturday, May 10. This special event will include ocean-themed crafts, air tattoos, storytelling diving and animal shows.
Those interested in attending can pick up two free admission tickets at the Main Library Youth Services Department. Library cardholders also have the option of picking up their two tickets at the Richmond Branch Library. Free tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those who don’t receive free tickets but wish to participate can pay for admission at the aquarium. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for children ages 4-12. Children under three are free. Children 12 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

11 a.m. - Live diver feeding show
12 p.m. - *Storyteller with balloon animals
12 to 3 p.m. - *Air tattoos, and arts and crafts with an aquatic theme
1 p.m. - *Storyteller with balloon animals
2 p.m. - Exotic animal show

*These programs will take place in the aquarium’s second-floor conference room

CHILDREN 12 YEARS OF AGE AND YOUNGER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT!

Also, The library will also have a coloring table and information about services and upcoming programs.
