• Exchange 'Food for Fines' Jan. 16-20

    MLK Day of ServiceThe Atlantic City Free Public Library will hold a “Food for Fines” drive from Jan. 16-20 in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. People with overdue materials can make a food donation at the Main Library or Richmond Branch Library in lieu of paying a fine.     Charging StationThe Atlantic City Free Public Library now offers a charging station after being selected as a contract award winner for funding under LibraryLinkNJ’s “Powering Up: Library Charging Stations Incubator Project.” Those who visit the Main Library will be able to charge their smartphones, laptops and tablets for free in a Kwikboost Charging Station, which features eight secure, ADA-compliant lockers equipped with 16 connectors and fast-charging technology.     Live Homework HelpStudents who need assistance with homework can receive free, on-demand tutoring help thanks to an online service provided by the Atlantic City Free Public Library. The library offers Live Homework Help™, an online tutoring service powered by Tutor.com™. Students can connect to expert tutors in math, science, social studies and English via the Internet. Make appointment for assistance with tax return

taxesVolunteers from the Tax Aide Program of AARP will be at the Atlantic City Free Public Library to assist the community with basic tax returns by advance appointment only. You must call 1-800-617-1519 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment.

AARP will be at the Main Library on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 15 through April 12.
