• Summer Reading Program
    for children, teens begins June 28

    SRPThe Atlantic City Public Library will kick off its Summer Reading Program for children and teenagers on Tuesday, June 28 at 2 p.m. This year’s theme is “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read.” The event is for kids ages 17 and younger, and it will include a magic show starring Chad Juros and special guests.   • Second weekly adult literacy class added

    Literacy VolunteersThe Atlantic City Free Public Library and Literacy Volunteers Association Cape-Atlantic are now offering a second adult literacy class - beginning Monday, April 18 - for individuals who need help with their reading and writing skills. The new Monday class is for adults on a first grade reading level or lower, while the Tuesday class is for adults reading at a fifth grade level or lower. Click here to read more.

    job skillsThe Atlantic City Free Public Library offers a free Walk-in Job Skills Labs to library members who need help with job-related tasks. We’ll provide refresher tips for your job search. A SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) Personal Business Mentor will be at the Atlantic City Free Public Library every Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting June 17th in the Main Library Tutoring Room. No appointment is necessary.
Your dedicated SCORE business mentor will meet with you individually, at no cost, to:
•    Provide information if you lost or had damage to a small business due to Hurricane Sandy
•    Provide a fresh perspective
•    Act as a sounding board as you consider new ideas and decisions
•    Assist you to personalize your situation in accessing funding resources
•    Think through obstacles and problems to find solutions
